mostly lurk to keep up on anything going on, but was browsing the web looking for Summer time(ish) outdoor festivals and such, I came across this one
http://www.ollblast.com/
Does anyone know anything about this show? Is it really happening and not some type of typo or anything?
I need my 'dogs fix in (as I wasn't able to hit their 1st Ave show last week) !!
Thanks!

Welcome to the message board, Norma. We are playing that 5/2 show.
We're also doing an in store at Electric Fetus 7pm on 4/9.
I'm heading down to SXSW tomorrow. Yay!!!!!!!!!!
Any ideas about driving more traffic to the message board??!

thanks for the response! Guess my main inquiries are stemming from the word on the SA forum is that this is a private show, which dampered my hopes of catching this one......
Have fun at the SXSW gig(s), wish I could go!!

That is a public show - you can pick up tickets right on the website. www.ollblast.com Playing with Soul Asylum - should be festive!

This event has been getting better each year~
It's in the Our Lady of the Lake (OLL) Catholic Church parking lot near the downtown area of Mound. Does get breezy off the back side of the lake so have a sweatshirt or jacket handy in the car for a game time decision to wear it or not.
Pretty low key but there is beer and wine (was last year anyways) and tends to get a bit funner as the night goes on.
I think they're trying to ride the Basilica Block party wave, which by the way has a killer line up this year (not to take anything way from the Dogs here or anything~) Not nearly as big of course but easily worth the drive out to the Western Burbs
Coming from the downtown Mpls (take Co Rd 15 West off W394) the drive around Lake Minnetonka is awesome - hopefully you can open up the windows/sun roof by then?
Only a 10 min walk for us so we'll be there for sure for sure
